Yeah, Google, Meta, Amazon, and probably others really need to get broken up and get proper antitrust treatment. I say this even as someone who holds stock (like a total of 5 shares, so not much) in a couple of those. I used to dream of working at Google as well, but that dream died quite some time ago based on their actions and culture.

That’s not generally my experience. I still try DDG first, but probably 20-25% of the time, I have to switch back to Google. Oddly, not for the stuff in Japanese or related to Japan, but more tech and other such.

Headline is a bit disingenuous as it is the most points (because the total points is higher) but only the second highest percentage (1987 still 1st).

I think it has to be another crime, but that probably still can be done. I’m not a lawyer so I’m not sure, and I hope I never have occasion to find out.

I no longer live in the US in part for reasons I wouldn’t have a child there.

• low employee protections
• ridiculous and expensive healthcare system
• few or poor social and community programs (not just social safety net but also libraries, public transit, etc.)
• environmental and other protections backsliding

Because of many of those, I left. The secondary reasons for not having my own biological kids are some medical issues I have and, by the time I was stable enough, I was already coming into my 40s. I had considered adoption, but ultimately decided not to do that, either.

It’s not 100% but it’s super high and, yeah, they usually don’t prosecute unless they think they have a really solid case. That said, some of that also includes confessions that some have argued are under duress (and, in the case of foreigners, people who aren’t exactly sure what they’re signing, though I have no idea how that’s legal).

One was a military base and entering one part of a big open yard would open several doors with zombies aggro’d to the player. Another was the tier 5 prison that had several spawn triggers. However, before the trigger, no zombies were spawned in so they couldn’t just be picked off. I never saw a visible trigger anywhere in my playthroughs.

My fault. I moved from Tokyo to the countryside and there’s no food delivery so I went from at least once a week down to once a month or less. I’ll try harder to think of the profits next time.

I had tons of hours in it. In either a19 or a20, they added these dumb triggers that just spawn an entire world of zombies or open a set of doors with the zombies aggro’d to the player already effectively killing stealth. Worse, there’s no way to know about any of this until you’re in the POI and getting obliterated. I haven’t touched the game since them and was quite angry.
