I downvote your upvote!
Yeah good - everyone is really positive about it when I tell them.
I’m not sure how many of them end up using the fediverse based on our conversation but I think broader and more important cultural changes are built on slow but widespread indications of shifting values; I think conversations about what the fediverse stands for is actually more important than people using it.
Ah so that’s what it was!
Sure, I just found it too annoying and the easiest solution was to uninstall Brave.

This post needs to get to 666 upvotes and stay there.
I don’t use any closed source or centralised social media any more but I speak to people in real life about the Fediverse and share links to fediverse posts with my friends and family.
Yeah, I haven’t logged into my fb account for a couple of years but this might be a good reason to go in and leave something in my ‘bio’ or whatever monstrosity it is these days, I can’t even remember.
Man, Dansup is tearing it up like an absolute beast. Donate to his fund.

Most posts on my instance’s local feed right now are from new accounts and 99% of them are photography and art. I saw one guy doing a typical poser selfie and just blocked him. It’s looking good.
I encourage people to report any spam that does get posted though. Need to keep Pixelfed nice.
Lots of great artists are on Mastodon instances, like mastodon.art. Including their image posts means you can see some really good paintings.

Farage should have stayed quiet about Musk and Robinson. Now everyone knows how vulnerable he feels about being the next Nick Griffin.
The whole of the right is allowing itself to get completely tainted by it’s lowest denominator at the moment.

You can just follow hashtags instead of users on Mastodon. In fact I think that’s the best way to use it.
You can also subscribe to a hashtag via RSS, which is really useful.
Good work!
